Main Uses

Plastics Industry (accounting for over 70% of consumption):

PVC Plasticization: Used for films, artificial leather, wire and cable sheaths, etc., to improve flexibility and processing performance. Compared to DBP, DIBP has lower volatility and is more suitable for outdoor products intended for long-term use.

Rubber Softening: Used as a softener for nitrile rubber and neoprene rubber to improve the cold resistance and resilience of the rubber.

Coatings and Inks:

Enhances the fluidity and adhesion of resins; used in nitrocellulose lacquers, acrylic coatings, and printing inks, particularly suitable for scenarios requiring low-temperature film formation.

Adhesives and Sealants:

Adjusts viscosity and flexibility; widely used in construction sealants, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and wood adhesives.

Other Fields:

Cosmetics: Previously used in nail polish (currently being phased out due to regulatory restrictions);

Pharmaceuticals: Used as a drug sustained-release carrier or soft capsule plasticizer (residue levels must be strictly controlled).
